The Derrick Skating Club, with Pure Sk8, is offering this Skate Canada approved programming designed for developing players looking to supplement their hockey training with a specific skating program to enhance their on ice literacy.

CanPowerSkate ideally incorporates skaters/players at the “Golden Age of Learning” (ages 9-12) to enhance their skating ability by teaching technique and efficiency, for quality execution. Hockey and Ringette Players aged approximately 8-11.

Older or more advanced players will be referred to the advanced technical skating program. If your son or daughter is already a Pure Sk8 client, you will be advised as to what class is suitable for your player.

Registration is inclusive of both the ice and coaching fees.

Advanced Tech Skating for Hockey & Ringette

Advanced Tech Skating for Hockey & Ringette

With the focus on refining skills, individual skating mechanics, game-situation skating, enhancement, and repetition male and female players at the Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget or U12, U14, U16 Ringette levels have the opportunity to continue their skating development.

Registration is inclusive of both the ice and coaching fees.

Private Power

Private Power and small groups are available as per the dates listed below.

30 to 45-minute sessions available with Private, Semi Private (2 players), & Group sessions available. Ice fees are payable through the Derrick Skating Club and your coaching arranged through our Power Skating Coordinator, Susan Humphreys-St Martin.

Note: Older or more advanced players will be referred to the Intermediate and Advanced Technical Skating Programs. If your son or daughter is already a PureSk8 client I will advise you what class is suitable for your player.
