About Us

The Derrick Skating Club has been in operation in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada since 1976. For figure skaters, we offer private coaching at the junior, intermediate and senior level in both test and competitive streams. For beginning skaters, the Derrick Skating Club is proud to offer CanSkate, Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program. All skaters registered in our programs automatically become members of Skate Canada, the governing body for figure skating in Canada.

Programs Offered

PreSchool and CanSkate
Learn to skate. Ages 3 and up.

Power Skating
Improve basic hockey skills. Ages 5 and up.

Junior Development
Learn to figure skate.

Starskate and Competitive Program
Private coaching.
